Proposed changes to Martha’s Vineyard “welcome sign”

Changes are clearly being made in Martha’s Vineyard policy on welcoming immigrants, may I suggest an edit to the sign from the Main Street Alliance?

After the warm public television welcome, the residents quickly declared a public health crisis and removed the 50 migrants from the island by calling in the national guard, who sent them to a military base off island.

There are thousands of empty vacation homes right now on Martha’s Vineyard. Any representation that the people of Martha’s Vineyard welcome immigrants is a blatant LIE.

It’s fine that you don’t want to house immigrants in your expensive vacation homes.

Just have the guts to admit it.
